Came for happy Hour. The drinks were strong and really good. We ordered one of each food item on happy hour. The skewers were bland I wouldn't order again. The hot and sour soup was also bland, sent it back, the dim sum was good. The black truffle and the chili cod were amazing. The prawn roll, the prawn and scallop wonton and vegetarian spring roll were my the absolute best.

Came here on a Tuesday evening for happy hour followed by dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the decor. Stayed true to its name. I had rosé but the drink menu did look interesting as well. The food was light yet creative. The service was great! Overall, great place for drinks and dinner with friends!

I've been to Hutong twice and both times were really great! First time was for a Chinese New Years celebration dinner and the other time for happy hour which is Mondays-Fridays until 7. Service was great and the food was yummy. For happy hour, I especially enjoyed the "Comfortably Numb" & "Sakura" cocktails. I tried several of the little bites and you really can't go wrong with any. The Peking duck was also a highlight! Definitely on the pricier side in general but worth it!

I'd been here for dinner before, but this was my first time checking out their social hour. The cocktails were a great deal--I really enjoyed the Nobleman, which was a rum old fashioned present with swirling smoke on top of the glass. It was also very fun to order dim sum as we went along--best one was the truffled dumpling! The restaurant was spacious, light, and airy during happy hour, before the dinner crowds arrive. Our waiter Derek was super helpful throughout dinner too, providing lots of tips and recommendations. Would definitely come back!

My recent dinner experience at Hutong left me thoroughly impressed, especially with their renowned Peking duck. Opting for the special preparation presentation was well worth the extra cost, as it elevated the entire dining experience to a new level of sophistication and indulgence. The dim sum dishes were a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff, each one meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. While the rest of the menu didn't quite match the exceptional standard set by the Peking duck and dim sum, it still offered a decent selection of dishes. What truly stood out, besides the delectable food, was the speedy and attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. The ambiance was inviting and modern, adding to the overall charm of the restaurant. If you visit Hutong, I highly recommend indulging in their Peking duck--it's truly a culinary delight that shouldn't be missed. While the other dishes were satisfactory, it was the Peking duck that stole the show and made the evening a memorable one. Overall, Hutong provided a pleasant dining experience with excellent service and a modern twist on Chinese cuisine.

Hutong has been a favorite go to for spicy northern Chinese cuisine and I'm surprised I didn't write a review sooner. Hutong is located in Brickell, has a sexy dim lit vibe with woods and comfy sofa chairs even at the bar and outdoor terrace. I love their bottomless brunch on the weekends because it is a steal. You get full portions for the same price of the bottomless. I explored last Friday the autumn social hour. Drinks were $12. I got the numbing drink which was spicy and balanced. We also got shrimp rolls that were delicious and fried and shrimp and scallop wontons were succulent. For main entree we did both the red lantern and Chilean sea bass. Both were fried items but we enjoyed the spiciness of the crab and the sweetness of the marinade on the Chilean sea bass Definitely go here for ambience, and excellent food especially if you like spicy!

Welcoming host greeted my party upon arrival and was seated promptly. This location is the complete opposite than their Manhattan location. Their Manhattan location is more upscale, formal, and quiet. This particular location was loud, modern, and has a more casual vibe. The food is authentic Chinese food and they hit the mark on everything. The Peking Duck was properly prepared and not oily. Served with the traditional Pancake and fixings. Then there are the non traditional items such as the Wagyu Beef Millefeuille which was essentially a flavor bomb that explodes when you put it in your mouth. What Hutong got right that a lot of restaurants fails to do is they keeping the classics a classic and true to the original way of preparation while also adding some modern twist to other items and taking it to a whole other level. It was a perfect balance of tradition and an journey in gastronomy experimentation... and they executed it very well. Hutong managed to pull of something that even the well established DaDong cannot and that is introducing true upscale Chinese dining experience to the world. It's a breath of fresh air to have a Chinese dining experience that push the limits instead of falling into the stereotypical American-Chinese take out classics.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this place because I do not have high expectations for high end Asian restaurants and I still don't. We came here for the Miami spice menu special and got to select options from a preset menu and we also added on the Peking duck which were definitely a highlight albeit the price. My favorite were the dumplings that came first. They were very unique, interesting and delicious. For the main dish I chose the spiced golden tofu with fried rice which were fine, nothing particularly special or different but was good. Overall, the service was great. The staff was attentive and checked in on us as needed and provided great explanations of the food and provided recommendations. Although it was classier, we came here for brunch on a weekend with casual clothes and didn't have any issues along with the other guests.

I have had my eyes on Hutong since moving to Florida. There are a few Chinese restaurants that are just OK, but I understand this is exceptional. Hutong is also located in London, New York City, Hong Kong, and Dubai. This is a modern & elegant restaurant in the heart of Brickell. Using OpenTable I made a lunch reservation a week and advance, giving a credit card to hold our table. There was valet parking that we couldn't find, we parked in a large lot & had difficulty finding the exit & restaurant. The restaurant was very warm, but the bathroom was cool and comfortable. Peter, our waiter explained the menu & took good care of us. The Miami Spice 3 course lunch menu looks perfect starting with a dim sum 3 piece platter and ending with sweet Unami ice cream with miso caramel sauce. The Kung po chicken, fiery chili prawns, pan seared beef tenderloin & roasted Peking duck entrees are all enticing. I enjoyed my eight large prawns with fried rice, although everything was very salty. Our son's chicken, and my husband's beef tenderloin was equally delicious.
